Automotive Functional Safety Professional (AFSP)

The first qualification level is completed with the AFSP (Automotive Functional Safety Professional) and includes the training modules K2, K3, K4, K5 and K6, as well as a 2-hour final exam.

The compact course lasts 5 days and is concluded with an examination on the last day.

Prerequisites

You will receive the expert status "Automotive Functional Safety Professional (AFSP)" if you have successfully passed the exam after completing the ISO 26262 - Basic Modules K2 - K6. The prerequisite for admission to the examination is participation in the preparatory training modules K2 - K6 or, alternatively, proof of equivalent training.

Confirmation of the knowledge acquired in a 2-hour online examination. Passing the exam and receiving a certificate entitles the holder to use the title "AFSP" (Automotive Functional Safety Professional).

Exam content and validity

  • The contents of training modules K2 - K6 are tested as part of a 2-hour multiple choice test (online)
  • Validity of the qualification: 5 years
  • At the end of the 5 years, proof of competence is required to extend the certificate for a further 5 years. Further details can be found in the AFSP update.
