For the first time, SGS-TÜV Saar and the Fraunhofer Institute for Intelligent Analysis and Information Systems (IAIS) are offering a seminar on the topic of "Compact entry - Trustworthy AI in the automotive sector" on December 12, 2023. The aim of the seminar is to prepare managers and technical specialists for the use of artificial intelligence (AI).
The one-day seminar will be led by experts Dr. Michael Mock, project manager at IAIS and private lecturer at the University of Bonn, and Eduard Dojan, Product Manager Software & Artificial Intelligence at SGS-TÜV Saar. Participants will benefit from their expertise in the fields of AI, machine learning, big data and automotive functional safety.
In-depth knowledge of the multifaceted field of artificial intelligence will be imparted through the seminar, with a particular focus on current issues in the automotive industry. With four thematic sections dealing with applications, standards, the specification of the operational design domain and the safety of AI, it offers a comprehensive overview.

The safety of vehicle functions has now taken on a high priority in the established development processes of the automotive industry. However, the use of AI in safety-critical applications in particular is associated with many challenges. The procedure established in classic systems for building a safety argumentation is not directly transferable. The compact seminar provides an introduction to the problem and gives an overview of the state of standardization and technology.
Use this training course to gain an overview of the interrelationships between the safety of vehicle functions and artificial intelligence in the automotive sector and generate a good entry point into the safety of automated driving.
